I liked this restaurant up until I ordered the Lamb Madras today Dec 8 2023. It was anything BUT lamb, in fact it was GOAT !

Thank you for your response. I respect the fact that you think the Goat was indeed Lamb, But, coming from someone who has consumed Goat and Lamb for my entire life and prepared it as well for all of my adult life, I think I can recognize the difference. Yes the food tasted good and we did not complain, that doesn't mean we didn't want to as we all felt the same about our respective "lamb" dishes. My colleagues expressed that they would feel embarrassed, so I refrained. As for the tip. I always tip well when the service is good, and those girls should not suffer for our discontent with the food, they were pleasant throughout the entire meal. My colleagues and I have been coming to Diwa for years as we work very close by and we don't intend to stop. We will just order something other than the Lamb/Goat dishes. Cheers !

Diwa is very nice restaurant to visit. Really like the environment and the soft Indian/Pakistani music playing in the background. Staff is always very courteous and nice. The food is very authentic and I always enjoy going there. They also have lunch buffet which has variety of items. Some times they run short of space, so if you are planning to go in a group then do reserve in advance. Highly recommended in Guelph.

Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a great meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu!
My son and I tried Diwa last night for the first time. I was immediately impressed by the overall look of the decor. The hostess was attentive to my questions about ingredients (re: allergies) and walked me through the menu so I could pick appropriate items. The server confirmed the amount of spice that we wanted before sending our order to the kitchen. The food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh tasting. Everything was delicious! The mango lamb was particularly good. My son thought the vegetable pakoras were very good, too. The price was a bit higher than some other places, but the food was also much better than the other places. Very happy we decided to try Diwa!
One of the best indian restaurants in city of Guelph. I WOULD SAY THE BEST ONE. The taste is very authentic. Dali makhani and Garlic naan was simply amazing. Cheetah beer is very good. Me and my wife wented Get some food for takeaway. However the place is so nice and cozy, so ended up having dinner there. One of the best Indian food restaurants in Guelph. Food was so good and you can enjoy the real Indian flavors. Portion sizes were also great. They serve spirits and beer too. Service was exceptional. Prices are reasonable. They accept takeaway too. Will definitely return again.
The best place for romantic or family dine in. I found this place very quite and comfortable to spend quality time with your better half or family.
The dishes they made were astonishingly tasty and quantity was just amazing. We ordered full dinner, but we were almost full by appetizers only. We ordered Tandoori Paneer Tikka and dahi chaat. It was just amazing.

I’m quite picky about my Indian food and this place is delicious! Service is fast and efficient. Staff are friendly. And most importantly, food is flavourful. The naan bread is soft and fluffy, some of the best I’ve had!
